This year the reflection was on the impact of language on human development and the understanding of our worlds as the basis of our educational task as teachers and parents, and also as researchers and university students interested in this subject.

Without our linguistic condition we would not be able to represent, interpret, or imagine. The way we conceive time, space and relationships with others is marked by patterns rooted in language. The spoken or written word is the way we capture and express reality; this is how we construct meanings that give meaning to the world and to ourselves.

On this occasion, our guests are scholars of language and its development in relation to the impact of languages on the construction of meaning in the world. They will share with us their research, discoveries and practices that will show new paths to our educational work as we are responsible for the formation of global citizens.

Theater is an artistic manifestation that integrates various areas of knowledge and enhances higher brain functions in children and young people. The interpretation of texts in several languages, coordinated movement and the spoken or sung voice promote brain plasticity. Colegio Hacienda los Alcaparros has developed the transversal axis of multilingualism in the “Brain and Learning” initiative, and its theater group presents the classic play ¡QUIXOTE!, ¡QUIXOTE!, ¡QUIXOTE! in a contemporary version, as a tribute to the first modern Spanish-language play.
